Cancellation & Refund Policy

A clear framework for changing or cancelling a Rose Safaris Africa journey.

Effective version: 2026-09-23

1. How to cancel

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The effective cancellation date is the date Rose Safaris Africa receives the request. We will confirm receipt and the applicable cancellation position.

2. Standard cancellation schedule

61 or more days before departure: 30% cancellation charge.

45–60 days: 50% cancellation charge.

30–44 days: 75% cancellation charge.

15–29 days: 90% cancellation charge.

0–14 days: 100% cancellation charge.

No-show or unused services: generally non-refundable.

3. Supplier and non-recoverable charges

The schedule above is the standard commercial framework. Where accommodation, transport, activities, park services, flights or other suppliers impose documented non-recoverable cancellation charges that exceed the applicable standard charge, those supplier charges may be deducted from amounts otherwise refundable to the customer. Any material deduction will be explained in the cancellation statement.

4. Refund assessment and processing

We aim to assess a cancellation and confirm the applicable refund within 5 business days after receiving the request and any information required to assess supplier charges. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days after the refund amount has been confirmed. Bank and payment-provider crediting times are outside our control.

5. Date changes

Customers may request a change of travel dates. Changes are subject to availability, supplier terms and any applicable price differences or amendment charges. A date-change request is not automatically treated as a cancellation-free amendment.

6. Cancellation by Rose Safaris Africa

If Rose Safaris Africa cancels a confirmed journey for reasons within its control, we will discuss an alternative arrangement or refund amounts paid for services we are unable to provide, subject to applicable law and supplier recoveries. Where cancellation results from circumstances outside reasonable control, the force-majeure provisions in the Terms & Conditions apply.

7. Travel insurance

Customers should obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, interruption, medical expenses, emergency evacuation and other relevant risks. Insurance may provide protection for circumstances where a booking refund is not available under these terms.

8. Important qualification

This policy applies subject to mandatory rights under applicable law. Nothing in it is intended to exclude a legal refund or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
