CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Terms & Conditions
These terms govern enquiries, quotations, bookings and travel services arranged by Rose Safaris Africa.
Effective version: 2026-09-23
1. Booking and acceptance
A quotation is an invitation to book and is not a confirmed reservation until Rose Safaris Africa has received the required payment and issued booking confirmation. By accepting a quote or making a booking, the customer confirms that the information supplied is accurate and agrees to these Terms, the applicable Booking & Payment Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy.
2. Quotations and pricing
Unless a quote states otherwise, quotations are valid for 7 days. Prices are based on the itinerary, dates, services and supplier rates stated in the quote. Government taxes, park or conservation fees, supplier rates, exchange rates or other third-party charges may change before a booking is confirmed. A confirmed booking is subject to the price and inclusions stated in its booking documentation, except where a change is permitted by these Terms or required by a third-party supplier or authority.
3. Payment
The standard payment structure is a 30% deposit with the remaining balance due 60 days before departure. Bookings made within 60 days of departure normally require full payment unless the booking confirmation states otherwise. Payment deadlines and any special supplier terms shown in the quote or confirmation form part of the booking.
4. Customer responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate traveller names, contact details, dates and other information required to deliver the journey. Customers are responsible for valid passports, visas, permits, vaccinations or other entry and travel requirements applicable to their nationality and destination. Customers should obtain appropriate travel insurance before departure.
5. Third-party services
Rose Safaris Africa may arrange accommodation, transport, activities, guides, park services, flights and other services supplied by independent providers. Supplier-specific terms may apply and will be communicated where material. Rose Safaris Africa will use reasonable care in selecting and coordinating relevant suppliers and will assist customers with material service issues.
6. Itinerary changes
Safari conditions, weather, wildlife movements, road conditions, conservation requirements, supplier availability and operational circumstances may require reasonable itinerary adjustments. Rose Safaris Africa will seek to preserve the character and value of the journey and will communicate material changes where practicable.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Customer cancellations are governed by the published Cancellation & Refund Policy. Supplier cancellation charges and other non-recoverable amounts may apply where disclosed and reasonably incurred. Refunds are assessed after the applicable cancellation terms and supplier commitments have been reviewed.
8. Force majeure
Neither party will be treated as being in breach to the extent performance is prevented or materially affected by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government action, border restrictions, civil unrest, war, major transport disruption, epidemics or similar events. Rose Safaris Africa will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternatives, credits or recoverable refunds.
9. Health, safety and insurance
Customers participate in safari activities at their own informed discretion and must follow reasonable instructions from guides, drivers, accommodation providers and activity operators. Customers should maintain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation, cancellation, interruption, baggage and other relevant risks.
10. Complaints
Customers should raise service concerns with Rose Safaris Africa as soon as reasonably possible so that an opportunity to resolve the issue exists during the journey. Formal complaints can be submitted through the published Complaints & Resolution process.
11. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Rose Safaris Africa Privacy & Data Protection Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Kenya, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that apply to the customer under applicable law. The parties should first seek good-faith resolution of disputes before pursuing formal proceedings.
13. Policy changes
Rose Safaris Africa may update its website policies from time to time. The policy version applicable to a confirmed booking is the version accepted or incorporated into the customer's booking documentation.
